Warranty
Subject to the exclusions set out below, and to be read in conjunction with Chris Odlum Electrical Ltd Terms and Conditions, Chris Odlum Electrical Ltd offers a full workmanship for installation warranty for 24 Months and a materials warranty for 12 months for all newly built homes. Subject to the exclusions set out below, this warranty covers the repair or replacement of any defective materials installed by Chris Odlum Electrical Ltd.
Light Bulbs
Incandescent, Compact fluorescent or Halogen light bulbs are covered by Chris Odlum Electrical Ltd for 30 days from date of house compliance documents provided by Chris Odlum Electrical Ltd. After this 30 day period Chris Odlum Electrical excludes these items from this warranty.
LED Light Bulbs & LED Fittings
LED light bulbs and LED fittings provided and installed by Chris Odlum Electrical Ltd are covered under our parts warranty for 365 days after installation. Warranty claims for LED bulbs and LED fittings must be made within the 365 warranty period. This warranty extends to defective products or improper installation. Acts of God, abuse, or physical damage are not covered under this warranty.
Surge Protection
Chris Odlum Electrical Ltd guarantees the proper installation of surge protectors under this warranty. Chris Odlum Electrical Ltd does not guarantee, insure or provide a warranty against lighting or electrical surges except to the extent that Chris Odlum Electrical Ltd will provide a new surge protector in the event one should fail under the Parts Warranty period. Claims for components damaged by lightning or electrical surges are covered by the manufactures warranty only and not covered under this warranty.
General Conditions and Exclusions:
This warranty extends only to parts and labour provided by Chris Odlum Electrical Ltd. Parts provided by others or installations done by others are expressly excluded from this warranty. This warranty does not cover items damaged by acts of nature, misuse, or abuse. Light bulbs are expressly excluded from this warranty. Chris Odlum Electrical Ltd provides no warranty coverage for standard light bulbs that were properly installed. This warranty is limited to only those items installed or provided by Chris Odlum Electrical Ltd. Remedies for warranty claims are limited to the repair or replacement of the damaged part or faulty installation up to but not exceeding a full refund for the installation or faulty portion of the installation, and only to the extent covered by the manufacturer’s warranty in respect of the goods, and any labour and travel not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty shall be the responsibility of you. This warranty does not cover the cost of repairs made by others unless authorized in writing by Chris Odlum Electrical Ltd. This warranty does not apply to installations or parts for which Chris Odlum Electrical Ltd has not received payment. Failure to pay for a service or installation voids any and all warranty coverage offered by Chris Odlum Electrical Ltd. No warranty coverage is extended to pro gratis or courtesy repairs. This warranty is non-transferable and is only enforceable by the original purchaser. No warranty coverage or guaranties are extended to subsequent owners or occupants with the exception of work performed as a condition to the sale of the property and completed within 45 days of the closing. In such case, the warranty for that work will extend to the new homeowner.
