We used Chris Odlum Electrical to replace faulty wall lights and replace the downlights and main lights in kitchen, bedrooms and lounge with modern LED lighting as well. We needed additional lights added as well. Chris was able to recommend a great solution for the spaces and the end result was amazing with the significantly improved lighting achieved. The whole process was simple, we used him 5 years previously so we booked through his website. He very promptly arranged a suitable time to scope the job, provided a timely and researched quote. He was honest about items we would need to arrange and the ones he would. Straight after accepting the quote he booked in to complete the job that was flexible around our needs. He was professional, tidy and very knowledgeable with his trade during the install time. He arrived prepared with all the required supplies and tools to complete the job smoothly from start to finish. He was a friendly person to have in a home and work setting. He even was able to juggle a couple on the spot customer request and alteration with ease and able to complete full job in one session. I would definitely recommend Chris and Chris Odlum Electrical for any domestic electrical needs you have be it big or small. We will use him in future. Final price came under the quoted value and value for money.

Chris came to connect a hot water cylinder. While he was here I asked him to fix an outlet in one of the rooms which had come out of the wall. He then discovered a dangerous situation- no earth wire and spent over an hour of unplanned time under the house locating the break. He ended up doing much more work than planned and left us with a safer house. The bill did not reflect how much work he did and I thought was a bargain. I feel lucky that a dangerous fault was discovered due to thorough inspection.

Chris removed our old heat pump system. He was awesome at explaining why it may not have been working and advice on weather we could move it to another room and the pros and cons. Chris was easy to contact, prompt with service and more than willing to offer advice for our heat pump solutions. He happily disposed of the heat pump and puter unit for a very reasonable price. We would definitely use his service again and recommend him to anyone who asks.

We are Aucklanders selling a Te Awamutu property and contacted Chris to carry out some electrical repairs. I was so impressed by his courtesy, prompt action (he went that very day), sound quoting and the fact that he rang us from the property when he detected a faulty and dangerous power point which he also repaired. He followed up the visit with the phone call that afternoon and we also received a detailed account of work done – his estimate and the actual bill were spot on! Chris came on board to help us with the build of a utility/pool room where we needed to connect the power supply back to the main house.
